All right, Brian, it is time. We are getting into the third segment today of the Irish Breakdown podcast, brought to you by Fandul.

It is now time to talk about the ACC and give our predictions for how we believe the conference is going to shake out this year.

And this is definitely one of the more interesting ones.

This is my first time ever doing this. And so it was really interesting to go through and view matchups of each team's schedule and who is going to do what. Now, one of the disclaimers, and Brian can probably do a better job of explaining this than I can, but this is more of how we think the rankings are going to end up based on the conference schedule that these teams are playing.

Brian alluded to it a little bit earlier that our rankings don't reflect what we believe, say teams one, two, three, four, and five are as good as what they are.

Right.

It's not a power ranking of how good that, yes, exactly, Trev.

It's a prediction of the outcomes. I'll tell you right now, my top 17 would look very

different if I was ranking teams based on how good I think they are, very different. Like, bottom

and top. Like, there's a team I have in my bottom five that I think is a potentially top half of like meaning like eight seven, eight talented team.

But their schedule is absolutely brutal.

And it's like, I don't know if they can, you know, their in conference schedules, terrible, terrible.

And so, yes, this is predictive.

And honestly, Trev, one of the challenges I had is we'll just kind of talk a little

about the ACC before we kind of dive into our predictions is my issue at the

ACC this year is there's there's Clemson maybe is going to be a great team maybe they have a

lot to prove you know there's been people saying well you know I get why Clemson's getting all

this hype and I'm like I don't I think Clemson's going to be very good. And I have them in my, I think, ranked six or seventh in my preseason top 25. But they've got a lot to prove. They played four good, five good teams last year, went one and four against those teams and got blown out by three of them, you know, including Louisville. And so that's the best team in your league right now, like SMU's the second best team in your league right now.

Like SMU is the second best team in your league right now come from last year.

And they lost to the only big 12 team they played last year.

And then also got blown out by a big 10 team that they played last year.

So I think the league has a lot to prove.
