A large scale saga of corruption, justice and overwhelming relevance that's at once gripping

let's get the Oscars folks every time I get mad although this time I was I was

bracing for it because if you don't get a sag nominated or a golden globe

nomination then you're not going to get nominated for an Oscar so I already knew

Denero was going to get snuffed for best actor but seriously folks listen to me

listen to me how can a film be nominated for best picture best director two

supporting actors best screenplay best editing best production design best score

all this stuff and yet the lead actor the guy who actually is the Irishman

actually doesn't get nominated for best actor makes no sense to be so basically

the entire film is great but the lead actor the guy who's carrying the film

could have been better Irishman only sorry not not in for best original score

I love Robert Ruffer's score which did that's another issue I have with it

anyways Bob didn't get nominated would have been his first best actor

nomination since Cape Fear which is 1991 so I'm incensed about that as I say

to Scott Fimer later on the podcast you can't just get mad you're gonna say

okay what would you take out Ben Derriss gets nominated for painting glory which I was

really happy about I'll motive our film if you're a fan of the podcast you heard

me review it and I liked it it's his first ever nomination I believe I mean

it's terrific actor come on it's Desperado Leo what's Ponta Hollywood great driver

marriage story I'd vote for him to win Jonathan Price the two popes thrilled to see
