I want to welcome you all back to the first

Alhamdulillah, we're going to be talking about

a companion who I think that there's probably the greatest discrepancy

between how often his name is mentioned

and how little his story is known, and that is Abu Sayyid al-Khudri,

radi Allahu ta'ala anhu, al-Khazraji, al-Madani,

the great scholar of Medina that we're going to be privileged to speak about tonight.

And inshaAllah ta'ala just to give you a little bit of an overview about what we're going to be doing

over the next few weeks. So I know a lot of people are going to be going to Umrah

and thanksgiving, may Allah Almighty grant us all an accepted Umrah

in November, midnight, or whenever you're going in the winter.

So let's bring it back to Uhud, bring back the conversation to Uhud.

And one of the things that you can appreciate as you look through the stories of the

Ansat is that truly every single one of the Ansat has

a Uhud story, has someone that was taken from them in Uhud, whether it was

a parent or a spouse or a sibling or a child or an uncle

and aunt or cousin, everyone has someone who died in Uhud

and as you read about the Ansat, you find that their story intersects with Uhud

at one point. So we've been speaking a lot about the Shuhadat Uhud

some of the martyrs of Rajir and Beir Mauna which was right after

and inshaAllah ta'ala tonight also intersects with Uhud
