Bad, Bad and and crazy martinis for you today.

And Jim, I guess on this first one, there's a couple different options on,

which could be the bad part here, but it's the ongoing battle between the federal government,

the Biden administration, and the state of Texas over border security.

Biden, of course, is doing a horrific job of securing our border, but generally speaking the courts have ruled that it is the federal government's job.

The question now becomes what do you do if they don't want to do it?

So a few days ago, the Supreme Court and a five to four ruling

removed an injunction against the Department of Homeland

Security that had forbid them from removing razor wire placed along the border by the state of Texas.

And so Abbott basically saying that the executive branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting states including immigration laws on the books right now.

President Biden has instructed his agencies to ignore federal statutes that mandate the detention of

illegal immigrants. The failure of the Biden administration to fulfill the

duties imposed by Article 4, Section 4, has triggered Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this state the right of self-defense.

For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3,

to invoke Texas's constitutional authority to defend itself and protect itself.

That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary.

And that has a lot of Texas Democrats and Democrats outside of Texas

basically saying that this is Greg Abbott defying a clear ruling from the

Supreme Court including Beta O'Rourke chirping up to say that he's using the Texas Guard to defy a Supreme Court ruling.
