for crypto economic security and for governance, especially when you think about the

differences, both good and bad, between real world and online systems for coordinating

groups of people to vote on something,

whether it's a decision in a boardroom or an election or anything else. This episode was recorded

as part of our New York City podcast Road Show, and so it features Phil Dayon, a PhD at Cornell Tech,

working with Ari Jules there. His research focuses on broad questions of security of distributed

systems,

specifically blockchains. He also wrote a post last year with Tyler Kell, Ian Mears, and Ari Jules,

on quote, on-chain vote buying and the rise of dark DAOs. Joining Phil in this hallway style jam

to discuss these topics is Ali Yaya, who was previously a software engineer and machine learning
