Proverbs 29, 2 Corinthians 4.

In Proverbs, the 29th chapter, we'll notice just this 18th verse, Proverbs 29, 18.

It says, where there is no vision, the people perish.

But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Where there's no vision, the people perish.

But he that keeps the law, happy is he.

Well, you can see several things from this verse.

First of all, the most obvious,

that a major reason why people perish is because they have no vision.

And obviously, if you're going to be happy, you must not be perishing.

Right?

And if you're not perishing, you must have a vision.

And we see the source of the vision, he keepeth the law.

Now, today we don't just have the law, the prophets.

We have the whole word of God.

We've got the new covenant, the New Testament, gospel accounts, epistles to the church, etc.

And so you could just sum it up by saying, if you keep the word, you'll be happy.

Or as other translations say, you'll be blessed.

How many want to be happy and blessed?

Is that right?

And if you're happy and blessed, you must be being victorious. You must not be perishing, right? And so if you're not perishing, you must have a vision. And having the vision
