Good afternoon, I'm Charlie Lidoff and welcome to the No BS News Hour.

The world renowned Oakland Hills Country Club burned to the ground Thursday morning, the

fire apparently starting in the attic above the main clubhouse.

A hundred-year-old club has hosted six U.S. opens, three P.J. championships, and a

writer-cup, another Michigan Jewel gone, members vowed to rebuild.

And now for some ridiculous fire news.

A crew of Detroit firefighters went to a bar last Friday night and neighboring Belvendale,

three miles away.

It was all you could eat fish tonight.

The problem is, they took the fire engine.

The on-duty crew from engine 48, parked on a busy street out front of the bar were parking

not allowed.

A citizen called 911 to report the firefighters drinking.

The cops showed up, then the chief of department showed up.

We've got a winner of the chief, as a said, to have uttered after getting a whiff of

the inebriated engine operator who blew a 0.12.

Nothing to see here.

The ranking officer tested non-negative for drugs, whatever that means.

He scheduled for a second test.

The episode comes in the wake of the inebriated fire captain last year who launched his department

vehicle Airborne and came to arrest dangling over a highway overpass and a drunk firefighter
