| 0:22.0 | Suppose, for example, that whatever your work may be, you lose it. |
| 0:27.0 | And your boss walks in the barn, he says, I'm sorry. We don't need you any longer. |
| 0:31.0 | I hate to have to tell you this, going to pay you two weeks, and that's it. |
| 0:34.0 | So you come home and you reason yourself. You say, well, the Lord, I know that I've lost my job for a particular reason. |
| 0:39.0 | Surely, you must be trying to teach me something, and I want to know what you're teaching me. |
| 0:44.0 | And so what shall I do at this point? |
| 0:46.0 | And so you have one or two things you think about. You say, well, shall I wait upon the Lord and just sit and do nothing |
| 0:52.0 | and wait for God to do something? Or shall I go out and pursue seeking another job? |
| 0:56.0 | Or some other vocation? And so oftentimes we're in that dilemma and we don't know what to do. |
| 1:02.0 | And so the question arises, when do you wait upon the Lord and when do you get up and do something? |
| 1:06.0 | So let me put it this way. There are times when you face a situation and you don't know what to do that you don't do anything. |
| 1:14.0 | You just feel God's assurance, don't move, don't make a decision, don't do anything, just wait upon me. |
| 1:21.0 | On the other hand, there are times when a situation arises and some circumstance changes and you say, well, what shall I do? |
| 1:29.0 | And God wants you to get up and take the initiative and do something. |
| 1:33.0 | Well, in this particular passage here, I believe there is an example of what God is saying to Joshua to help us identify a problem that many people have in their prayer light. |
| 1:45.0 | When as a result of not knowing maybe exactly what to do or thinking they don't know what to do, they sort of fudge you and got a little bit. |
| 1:52.0 | And they keep wondering, what doesn't the Lord answer my prayer? What doesn't God change my circumstances? |
| 1:57.0 | What has God allowed me to be in this circumstance? Why did God create all this in the first place? |
