Ramon Salcido's life was crashing around him in 1989.

His first wife was coming after him for child support,

believed his current wife and boss were having an affair, and speculated

that his oldest daughter was not biologically his. With all of this in mind, on April 14,

1989, after a night of drinking and snorting cocaine, Ramon decided to take his troubles out

on the ones he loved the most.

Ramon Salcido, 28, spent most of the evening on April 13, 1989, drinking and snorting cocaine.

When he wrapped it up in the early hours of the 14th, he drove to his family's

California home and took his three daughters to the county dump.

Once there, he slit the throats of all three girls, Teresa 1, Sophia 4, and Carmina 3, and left them there to die.

Carmina was remarkably able to survive the ordeal and was left to lie with her sister's bodies

for 36 hours before she was found by two Quarry employees.

When she arrived at the hospital, she told the nurse, Daddy cut me.

But, Ramon wasn't done.

Just after he left his daughters to die, he drove to his mother-in-law's home to look for his wife.

When he didn't find her there, he killed her mother, 47-year-old Marian Richards,

and her two daughters, Ruther 12, and Maria 8. Marion was clubbed to death while the girls were killed with a knife.
