Okay, attribute number three is one of my favorites.

It's the one I have the most fun pursuing.

It's one of my driving motivations in what I do each day, and that attribute is excellence.

I would rather do fewer things, maybe even less profitable things, and maybe even more

delivered in a more expensive way to do it with excellence.

Here's why.

You see, to me, and to the kind of people we want and will only tolerate here on the

Darin Hardy 18, we see our work as our art.

We're artists.

We're all creative beings, and our work is us.

It's our creative product.

It is the expression of who we are and how we are using our gifts and our capabilities

and the precious life force that we have been given.

It is our identity, our brand, and our reputation.

We want to leave an impact, and we want that impact to be excellent.

To us, excellence is a matter of dignity, pride, and personal responsibility.

Martin Luther King Jr. stated it beautifully in a commencement speech when he said,

you must have as a basic principle the determination to achieve excellence in your various fields

of endeavor.
