Acts chapter 18. Let me give some background to where we are. We have just come from Athens,

0:12.3

about 50, a little more than 50 miles. West of Athens is Corinth. That's where we are right now.

0:23.1

And this place is significant because this is the place that Paul came to next after visiting Athens. So the drive we just took,

imagine walking that drive, that, you know, that route that we took. Perhaps he, you know,

1:35.3

the southern province was A.I. Corinth was the capital of the southern province of Akei.

1:41.4

1:46.4

remember that in the first century, when Paul visited here around AD 51, 52, this was under the

1:54.5

Roman Empire. So there's, the ruins around here are Roman period when Paul was here.

2:02.5

The significant things about Corinth, it was an important port city along the GNC, and so this was a high-trafficked area.
