His name is Will Bryant, and he's an artist based in Austin, Texas.

I started following him on Instagram a couple years ago and have been routinely amazed by his work ever since.

Described as being infused with a familiar 90s nostalgia,

Nickelodeon meets Keith Herring with a touch of NBA and Memphis group.

It only made sense that minus nostalgia loving self would reach out about sitting down for a conversation.

And luckily for me, he was down to do just that.

Thanks for having me. This is way fun.

I'm going to start with a difficult question that might take a little bit,

just so that it's all downhill from there.

Whether you're with a client or whether you're just doing something for fun,

where does your creative process start and where do you go from there?

It definitely depends on if it's self-driven, collaborative with friends,

or sometimes client projects are collaborative as well.

I'll speak to the client first, because the other one is sort of random and depends on

tons of variables. But a client thing is, I've been doing this for 10 years or so,

so there's a consistency to it, especially now that a lot of my projects are kind of in a rhythm

and more similar, but still across the board, like come out in different mediums.

But you have some sort of intro.

Maybe that's email, sometimes in person, mostly email.
