And today we'll be joined by the former quarterback of the Washington football team,

Alex Smith, as he details how close he came to actually playing this year

upon his visit to Urban Meyer, his former college coach in Jacksonville, and also breaks

down the relationship between Aaron Rogers and the Green Bay Packers. Keep in mind that

Alex Smith was in the same draft class as Aaron Rogers. In fact, in that draft

throughout the offseason, most mock draft experts had Aaron Rogers going number one to San Francisco

and then somewhere along the way, a couple of weeks before the draft, somehow it switched

and Alex Smith slid into that first slot ahead of

Aaron Rogers, changing the course of history and almost taking us to where we are today

with Aaron Rogers in Hawaii, at least he was recently, with his fiancee, Shaline Woodley,

and the actor Miles Teller.

But we are quickly approaching a key date, the next key date, in the Aaron Rogers stalemate with the Green Bay Packers. And that would be on June 8th, Wednesday, June 8th, because that is the day when the Packers begin their three-day

mandatory minicamp. And I would say right now, we should not expect Aaron Rogers to be at that

three-day mandatory minicamp. And if and when he's not there, as I would expect, then at that point

time, the Green Bay Packers will have the option of fining him $93,085 for missing all three days of the mandatory minicamp.

And it breaks down like this, $15,515 for missing the first day, $31,030 for missing the second day, and $46,540 for missing

the third day, grand total of just over $93,000. And it's not the money that matters to

Aaron Rogers in this particular case. It's more the principle. And I think it would further inflame the relationship

between the two sides if the Packers went ahead and find him for missing those days of mandatory

minicamp, which is why not only do I expect Aaron Rogers to miss the mandatory minicamp,

but I will not be surprised if the Green Bay Packers in advance
