Not that long ago, time for unstructured play was naturally built into a child's daily rhythm. Today, it's something that we as parents have to fight for. As a mom to eight kids, I needed my kids to spend time playing each day, for their sake and for mine. Little did I know the incredible benefits that that simple daily ritual would yield.
