In its scale, scope, and ferocity, it's one of the most devastating attacks on a civilian population in our lifetimes.


Make no mistake, the terrorist attack that kicked this all off on October 7th is a terrible atrocity on its own terms.


And as I've done and will continue to do,


I condemn Hamas and its brutal violence on that day.
