I want you to open your Bible to the third chapter of Ephesians this morning.

As you know, we are working our way through Ephesians in a rather staccato fashion.

We seem to be being interrupted periodically, but for this morning I want to draw your attention

to chapter 3.

And in particular the text is verses 14 through 21 Ephesians chapter 3 verses 14 through

21.

This is Paul's prayer for the sanctification of believers.

This is a very significant portion of Scripture for that very reason.

Listen as I read, starting in verse 14, for this reason, I bow my knees before the Father

from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant

you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit

in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith and that You being

rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the
