Summary

Carmen discusses everything passion projects-- aka her daily dose of happiness. She goes in-depth about what a passion project is, why you should start one, and how to start one. Carmen also shares her personal experience and advice she has gained this year from starting two passion projects-- including this podcast. She believes that passion projects are more about the experience rather than the outcome/product and is going to tell you exactly why!

Hey Grilly's and welcome back to the pod. I'm Carmen and I'm so happy you're here this week. Happy Monday or any other day you're

0:16.0

listening to this. Today we're talking all about passion projects so just stay tuned and

0:20.9

get excited. So of course let's just start out with the best and worst of the

0:26.6

week. We'll do the best first because why not let's start it off good I guess But my best of the week was that I

0:35.6

face timed my sister who, if you've listened

0:38.7

to the other episodes, you may or may not know,

0:40.9

but she goes to boarding school

0:43.0

and she and my brother actually just went back to school

0:48.2

a week or two ago.

0:49.6

So it was nice just talking to her and just chatting

0:52.3

because we've both been really busy. So that was

0:55.0

super fun and I'm glad that I got to do that and yeah when she called me actually

1:00.8

it was an inauguration day and her school is really close to

1:05.3

DC so she could actually see like all the fireworks going on out her window when I

1:09.4

was talking to her so that was fun and then my worst of the week is just like doing a bunch of

1:16.1

aCT prep which just I mean kind of sucks I'm doing this prep course which is like three nights a week for an hour and a half and then one of the days

1:27.9

Take a practice test and that's for three weeks. So that's been a little exhausting, but I mean I'm glad to have the opportunity to do that of course, but I mean it just like also kind of sucks.

1:38.0

And then also something that's like low-key concerning and bad is that a third of my school had to quarantine so now

1:47.8

my school is going to be online for a week because somehow a week is going to help I I don't know. There was like a massive outbreak at my school which was kind of scary.

1:57.0

Yeah, literally when we were at school, every five minutes they would call someone to the office like to leave I think so I go to

2:06.2

small private school so there were like 87 people who had to quarantine in one day so

2:11.6

that's a little insane so that kind of sucked so now I'm back to online
