What a week

What week, Dominic.

Yeah, it's been a lot.

And we're actually full disclosure recording on Tuesday before we have any idea what might or might not have happened in a vote somewhere in another continent somewhere.

But we're not going to be mentioning it anyway.

And in fact, we're going to be skipping over some of the gloomiest things that have

happened in the continent this week.

Of which there were many.

Of which there are many.

Yeah.

So we hope this episode will be at least a distraction from some of the ails of our time.

Do you know what? In an otherwise terrible week where I have frankly felt like crying quite a lot

of the time, one of the small rays of sunshine was a new Flemish slash Dutch word that I learned.

Cuddling contact.

Is that a thing?

Yeah, it's a thing in Belgium.

It does indeed mean cuddle contact,

and it's the word they're using to refer to a person outside your household who you're allowed to hang out with and, I guess, cuddle, if you feel like it.

Oh, really?

I thought it was really nice.
