A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, Friday's Revenge, directed by Jack Shoulder, written by

David Chaskin, and starring Mark Patton, Kim Myers, and Robert England.

In this sequel, a teenager is haunted in his dreams and then in real life by Freddie Cooger

after he moves into the home that had a haunted past.

For those of you who are new to the show, Brian and I are going to first have a spoiler-free discussion

on the background in the film, then we'll take a short break, you'll hear some music, and then we'll dive into the plot, hit some spoilers, and give

our review. Brian, you're no stranger to the franchise. You've done a whole review on every

movie in this franchise. Yep. So yeah, is it safe to say you're a huge fan of Nightmare and Elm Street?

I'm a huge fan of the franchise, even though some of the movies, it's one of those things

where I think Friday the 13th fans feel this way too.

You can see the flaws and you know they're not perfect movies, but you love them nonetheless.

Got it. Yeah. Some of them are wonderful and most of them are just good, but lovable.

Yeah, that's great. I mean, it kind of shows like a self-awareness that, like, you can love it, but, like, kind of admit its flaws throughout the series, right?

Yeah, and if we're going to start this show off by saying where each one of us stands with the franchise,

we've got to remind everyone how much you disliked the original nightmare on Elm Street.

Ashman disliked the original nightmare in Elm Street.

I did, I did, and it's funny because I went back and I listened to our episode on the original one,

and man, I was trying to dig at you on like the last 20 minutes I feel like of that episode
