As Israel continues its war against Hamas, thousands of people from world leaders to

volunteers have felt compelled to visit the area as a show of support.

One such person is former journalist Dahlia La Kidi.

She's a Muslim American who is challenging Elon Omar

to represent Minnesota's fifth congressional district.

Daily Wire reporter, Cassie Dylan, met up with a Lockheed in Jerusalem to talk about

what compelled her to travel to Israel.

My name is Dahlia Lachidi. I'm a former journalist. I've been a journalist for 35 years and I've been very

active with think tanks. I just launched a new think tank, the American

Center for Counter Extremism in Minnesota in the city of Minneapolis, and I'm

running in Minnesota's fifth district against

El Han Omar.

So tell me exactly where you are right now and why you're here.

Right this moment I'm in Jerusalem.

I came here four days ago and of course prior to October 7th

we've been like we just started the campaign we lost the campaign almost like

three weeks ago.
