Georgia Williams was born on September 7, 1995 to parents Steve and Lynette Williams.

She was the couple's second child, after Scarlett, their first daughter, was born a few years earlier. The family lived in the quiet town of Wellington in Shropshire.

More good news came a couple of months after Georgia was born

when Steve Williams was recruited into the police force.

His wife Lynette and their two young daughters attended Steve's passing out parade,

a celebration that marked the completion of his

initial training, and this would be the stepping stone from which his journey to become a detective

in the West Mercia police force began. As a child, Georgia was described by a family as a determined

little girl with a larger-than-life personality. She liked to play pranks on

her older sister such as hiding behind doors and jumping out, and even at a young age she was very

generous and would share anything she had. She attended the local junior school but did not find

things easy initially. She was the victim of bullying. A mother suggested

she moved to another school, but Georgia was resilient. She decided to stay. By the time Georgia

attended Erkelwood Technology College, she was popular among her peers, supporting her classmates as a mentor,

student counsellor and was even elected

head girl. She wanted to get A-levels at New College Telford. She chose courses in biology, sport and

psychology. In her spare time, she was on the student council and attended air cadets where Georgia

held the rank of corporal.

She also volunteered as a member of the matchday safety team at a local football club,

AFC Telford United.
