And now for a moment of clarity.

Donald Trump is sitting next to the Oval Office in the little room next to it, and he's watching TV and saying, gosh, this doesn't look good that they're assassinating people on all fours.

We should dial it back. This is all about him. It's all about his impulses. And until then, until there's dramatic change where he's actually rescinding policies, any of these changes are just a lot of lipstick on a lot of pigs.

Well, they got a lot of lipstick going around there, Tim, because everybody seems to want to put the lipstick on. And everybody likes wearing

that lipstick because it's a blue suit and a white shirt and a red tie and a lot of Trump

imprint on their lips. Because they are very good at placing their lips where Trump wants them

placed. And this is the part about all of this as you listen to Holman and others,

including Trump, talk about, you know, Minnesota and California and these sanctuary cities

and these sanctuary states. And this is what occurred to me in all of this. Our Constitution

gives every state the right to do whatever the hell they want to do, right?

The 10th Amendment to the Constitution, can we pull it up real quick?

The power is not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it

to the states, are reserved to the states, respectively, or to the people, period.

Right?

And so when you look at this idea that this man, to Miles's point, is sitting in probably

somewhere in the Roosevelt room watching television with a hamburger in front of him and thinking

that all he wants to, you know, that he wants to just go in and plow his way through,

it kills me that Republicans don't at least acknowledge, Mr. President,

the states can do certain things that may not make you happy, but they can do them.
