Hello everyone I'm Alex Bloomberg. I'm the CEO of Gimlet Media, the company that makes

surprisingly awesome and a bunch of other podcasts and I'm here to tell you that

surprisingly awesome is not coming back, contrary to what we have said previously in this feed and

I'm going to tell you what happened.

So basically last we talked, Rachel Ward came on and said we're looking for hosts.

We hired that host. We started making, you know, all these episodes and we

realize in the course of that that you know what we're making something brand

new that we're really excited about and it feels like it's its own thing, its own wonderful,

magical thing that we're very, very proud of, but we wanted to give it a completely new

launching space. So that's what we're doing.

The new show is called Every Little Thing.

It's hosted by the amazing Flora Lichtman.

She's a science journalist.

She's a podcaster.

She's contributed to the New York Times and worked with Bill Nye, the science guy,

because I'm right.

And her new show, Every Little Thing, is a show about facts and fascination

and about how the extraordinary lurks in every nook and cranny of the ordinary that's all around us.
