In uncertain days, it is important to remember that our world is getting ready to meet God.

Today, we join Scott Pauli in walking through the final book of the Bible, The Revelation

of Jesus Christ.

Have you ever stumbled through a dark room in the early morning hours, maybe stubbing your

toe along the way, and you finally reach the window and you pull back the curtain, and at that

moment the first rays of light stream into the room. Suddenly the place where it was just filled

with darkness is suddenly flooded with light. Well, that is exactly

what the last book of the Bible does for us who are living in a very dark world. It literally

pulls back the curtain. Did you know that's the meaning of the word revelation? It's the title of the

book and it is also referenced throughout the book.

It's the opening phrase of the book, the revelation of Jesus Christ.

What does that mean?

Revelation.

It literally means to take the veil away.

Now that ought to resonate with you even as you think about the whole of Scripture because

what has God been doing

all through his word? He's been taking the veil away. You'll remember that in the Old Testament there

was a veil between the holy place and the holy of holies. Only the high priest could go beyond that

veil, but there came a day that the Lord took the veil away. In fact, in the gospel records, you'll read
