This year has been full of news as President Trump has aggressively pressed his administration's agenda domestically and abroad. It often felt

like every week there was some huge new thing happening. Some of them turned out to be massively

important, while others have proven to be less so.

Today, then, we try to provide that quality most lacking in these times perspective. We'll look

back on the biggest stories of the year. It are some years where there's a single dominant news story,

or maybe just a handful. 2025 has not been like that. Began with Trump's inauguration, and since then,

there have been National Guard deployments in American cities, ice raids all over the wild

and chaotic announcement of the Trump tariffs, the huge push against Ivy League schools
