I'm the creator and host, Farai Chidea.

This week we talk with our guests about the war in Afghanistan, the Texas abortion ban,

and corporate accountability on the money they pledged for racial justice, plus the 20th

anniversary of 9-11.

We'll begin with the future of the U.S. military.

Pam Compost Palmer served in the Air Force for over a decade. She was in operations and anti-terrorism

intelligence analyst and deployed to Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan. She's now

the director of peace and security for the Working Families Party.

She also leads Vets for the People, an effort to network progressive veterans and military families.

I asked her to give us her perspective as a veteran and as an expert in security issues

on the end of the war in Afghanistan and the future of U.S. interventions and conflicts.
