Mother of two, Rachel O'Reilly had been found brutally murdered in her own home at 2 PM on Monday the 4th of October 2004.

The police believed she'd been killed between 930 and 1030 a.m.

They desperately needed witnesses and began to question anyone who might have been in the area.

Grace would have been known in the community.

It was a huge shock for something like that to happen to one of our own so to speak.

In that area nothing like that has ever happened before and when we heard it was a young

mother two kids just after dropping under school very very unusual because like

any murders that happened in Dublin

they're normally nine times out of ten gang related. The attack was brutal and

bloody so the police believed that the murderer would have fled the scene and covered in blood. The police were placing everybody and anyone that had a record and I think for 20 miles

around there they took anyone that they had suspicions of them.

They don't a massive surge.

But despite a widespread hunt, they didn't find any witnesses,

and there was little to go on at the house either.

There was nothing yesterday in the DNA analysis which was of any crucial interest to us when all the family, friends and people who had been in now the house that they were all eliminated.

The lack of DNA evidence led the police to draw their own conclusion about who may have murdered

Rachel.

After the funeral you pick up all the cards and that and when it came to the flowers

from Joe there was this little card and on the card where the Star Wars

of See you later, Joe.

No mention of Rachel, no mention of love.

It just was bizarre.
