Summary

What do we do the Jesus’ teachings in the Sermon on the Mount? Jesus ends his manifesto of life in the kingdom of the heavens, not with a pep talk or feel-good story, but with a warning about what happens when we don’t put his teachings into practice. John Mark argues that, in the “information” age, where things go in one ear and out the other, we need to be diligent to do what Jesus taught.

0:31.0	To recap, Jesus ends the sermon on the mount which is all of
0:36.0	his most important teachings in one place I would argue it is the greatest single
0:40.8	collective teaching in the history of human civilization and he ends it not
0:45.7	with a pept talk not with a rally not with a touching story not with an acronym he
0:50.8	ends it with a series of warnings.
0:53.6	Tonight on the dock we have the last one.
0:56.2	Take a look at chapter 7, verse 24.
0:59.0	Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice,
1:05.0	it's like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
1:09.0	The rains came down, the streams rose and the winds blew and beat against that house yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock
1:16.3	But everyone who hears these words of mind and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man It built his house on sand.
1:23.0	The rain came down, the streams rose, the winds blew and beat against that house,
1:28.0	and it fell with a great crash.
1:32.0	When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowd was amazed at his
1:37.4	teaching because he taught as one who had authority and not as're teachers of the law.
