Hello, welcome to a good read where my guest today are the opera singer Beverly Humphreys and the comedian Izzy Souti.

Known to many as Dobby from the Channel 4 sitcom Peep Show.

Izzy is also a long-time musical comedian, twice nominated for a British comedy award,

whose left-field songs stand-up and characters delight a wide range of audiences.

A regular on TV and radio, she played Kiki in BBC 2's Chef Comedy Whites alongside Alan Davis,

while her radio shows include Sarah Milliken's support group and Out to Lunch.

She's completed three solo sellout runs at the Edinburgh Festival,

and in May and June this year,'ll be touring her show Pearl and Dave.

Issy, it's good to have you on the programme. Thank you. I'm delighted to be here.

And good too to have you, Beverly Humphreys, another versatile performer. Beverly's operatic roles have

included Carmen, Santutza in Cavalorea Rastikana and Amneris in Aida.

She's performed at all the major UK concert halls and at the Albert Hall sung before the Queen and Prince Philip.

But also as an actor, she's played among others, Gertrude Lawrence in Sheridan Morley's Nolan Gertie.
