Well, I've chosen a book that has been around for a long time, which is slouching towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion.

In this lockdown period, I just thought I would have a real look at America.

I also was a great friend of a woman called Jean Stein, who wrote a book called East of Eden,

a West of Eden, sorry, she wrote West of Eden, which was the history of people who ran Hollywood between the 40s and 60s,

and somehow, slouching towards Bethlehem picks up from that point, really, in the 60s

when, you know, it became something else.
