If you're watching on the simulcast, you missed it. There was a big conference call, Zoom call, whatever, with the NFLPA about these off-season workouts and, you know, trying to get them banned or reduced or whatever the case. And apparently Tom Brady jumped on and gave an impassioned speech in favor of skipping off-season workouts. Murray, just again...

Yeah, so reading from Tom Pellasaro of NFL Network,

he tweeted the following.

Tom Brady joined an NFLPA call today

and delivered an impassioned speech, as he just said,

employing fellow players to stand united

and have very intense negotiations with coaches

on modifying off-season work rules

as the union continues to push for a boycott.

Part of Brady's message to all players today is that the NFL is the only pro sport with

overly competitive drills during the offseason and the all virtual 2020 offseason

showed there's a better way. And the quote from the call that he tweeted here is,

there's no effing pro baseball player that's throwing 95 miles an hour in mid-December, end quote. Okay. So, boy, he's serious about this off-season workout thing, man. Yeah, I got a quick thought on this. So as much as I love Brady, we'll defend him. This is the same guy that last year was getting the team together all spring and summer, despite the rules and health lockdowns, which I loved, by the way. To do this now, my first thought, he's trying to still stick it to Bill because Bill loves these kind of workouts. He's still trying to get it, Bill. A little bit, and I'm not with him on this. You know, I like that he's taking a stand and not being like passive aggressive. And so, like, at least put your nuts on the table, say what you mean and mean what you're saying and all of that. So like I appreciate that part of it.

I just think there's no comparison between a football team and a baseball pitcher.

Football is the most guys on the field.
