Well, Chris, I think it's important for the public to understand what we mean when we talk about this, because you and I probably use these terms in our vocabulary more regularly. But when we talk about therapeutic nihilism, what we're basically doing is we're talking about a hands-off approach. And that's really what we did. We told people, listen, you've got COVID. We're going to take a hands-off approach. Either get well on your own or get sick enough to go

in the hospital. And once you get to the hospital, by the way, a lot of the options that you might

have had earlier are no longer there. And the everyday person would say, well, that doesn't make

So I just want to dive right in.

You're a very busy man.

You have a currently operating practice, and you are running for governor.

Why is that?

I'm glad that you asked why it rather than are you sure you want to? Because people have asked me,

are you sure you want to run for governor? And I say that I never said I wanted to. I think for me,

it's Esther 4, 14 in the Old Testament of the Bible, where the verse goes like this,

have you considered you're in the position you're in for such a time as this?

My wife and I feel compelled to run.

We find Minnesota as well as our nation on an unsustainable path.

And we're troubled deeply as are millions and millions of Americans.

The COVID pandemic is a huge part of it. But there's more to it than just that.

There's a national divide.
