Issues, etc. In a recent conversation with Wesley Smith on transgender treatment, he opined that at some point we're going to begin to see commercials that are aimed at young people, lawyers soliciting lawsuits against medical services providers

after they had been transitioned as minors, well, essentially without their consent.

That was one anticipated legal fallout from the medical community's involvement in transing minors.

Here's one I did not anticipate, and it's already on the horizon.

The Justice Department is investigating at least two hospitals on charges of insurance fraud

regarding transgender treatment, basically sending fraudulent codes to the insurance providers.

Glad to be here. Thanks for having me, Todd. Why would the Department of Justice launch an

investigation into Boston Children's Hospital, and I believe also Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on insurance fraud?

Well, I think we have a pretty significant issue here in terms of what's going on with so-called gender-affirming care in minors.

And so these are treatments like puberty blockers and hormones and addition to surgeries

as well. They're given to kids who are really confused about their gender. And this has been a real

challenge for medicine in terms of how do we really best and effectively treat these kids? And I would

certainly argue that psychotherapy and good psychosocial supports really based on data, sort of like

what we see in the United
