Hi there, I'm K-Town, and on this edition of Mysterious Radio.

Right, well, I was raised in Saskatchewan in Canada as a Roman Catholic family, a very

strict religious family. So we went to church quite often and followed all the rules, and I even

served the masses in ultra-boy. Then when I left home and went to university, I started

questioning a lot of the things that the Catholic church had taught me as a child. And one by one

slowly over the years, I basically rejected a lot of what they had taught as being either arbitrary

or illogical or just didn't make any sense. And so at that stage, it was casting about for new paradigm

to latch on to. And I was sort of in no man's land. And I kept on asking myself the eternal

questions of life that everyone asked themselves at one point or another, questions like, who am I,

why am I here? What's my life purpose and what happens to me when I die? And I was looking

for answers. And then one day, so anyway, after I left university and I finished law school, I went

to Calgary to practice law and I practiced corporate law there for 34 years before I retired.

And anyway, one day in May of 2007, just the year before I retired, my transformation came about

very unexpectedly. I was walking down the street one day and a whole sudden out of nowhere,

a homeless man just jumped out in front of me. And he looked like a typical homeless man with

long stringy hair and a scraggly beard and dirty slept in clothes. And I'd seen these people on

the street many times before. And my usual tactic was to do a quick sidestep and go around them

because I didn't want anything to do with them. But this man was different. He had these amazing

dazzling, sparkling blue eyes that shone like two little blue stars. I'd never seen eyes like that

anywhere before. And his eyes were doing two things. First of all, when he was gazing at me, I felt

that he was looking deep within me right down to the depths of my soul. And I sensed that he knew

everything about me. Everything I'd ever said or done. He knew all my hopes and aspirations,
