San Francisco as part of the firm's annual meeting. Why are you spending so much time out there?

Why does California matter so much to Goldman Sachs?

Well, we help finance growth and we source it and we like to think we contribute to it and one of the

places that are growing the most new businesses are in the area of technology and that's

you know the major a major not the only one but a major locus of that technology and innovation

is in Silicon Valley and its environs.

So if you want to be relevant and influential in that part and you want to make a contribution,

you better spend a lot of time there and we do.
