get into our study of God's Word.

On Sunday mornings, we're going through 1st Corinthians.

We're in chapter 10, and we're still going to be in verses 12 and 13 for now.

The Apostle Paul writes, So if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall.

No temptation, verse 13, has overtaken you except what is common to mankind.

And God is faithful.

He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.

But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it let's pray we'll

ask God's blessing on our time in his word loving heavenly father we need for you by the Holy Spirit to settle our hearts and enable us with our minds to give you our undivided attention.

Lord, we don't want anything at all to hinder us from hearing everything everything that your spirit would say to this, your church. So Lord, will you now speak into our

lives? We pray in Jesus' name. Amen. You can be seated. Thank you.

Today's teaching is part two of a new series we began last week titled a biblical template for overcoming temptation.

What we have here in our text are practical ways that we as Christians can overcome temptation and as well be victorious in trials.

The reason why we're still in verses 12 and 13 and will be for at least another week or so

is because they are so packed full of very specific and practical steps that we can take when trials and

temptation come knocking on the door of our lives and trial and temptations do come knocking on the doors of our Christian lives. Martin Luther
