Today I'm continuing to teach on a subject that I started last week, a week ago today, teaching

on a believer or a disciple. And I tell you, this is something that probably doesn't pique the

interest of people when they see this title. But this really is a critical issue. It's a life

and death, heaven and hell issue that the church hasn't addressed. The church

basically makes no distinction between being a believer and a disciple. They're used synonymously,

but Jesus said in John chapter 8, verse 31, he spoke to the people who believed on him and said,

if you continue in my word, then are you my disciples

indeed, and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. And so Jesus made a

distinction between being a believer and being a disciple. And I've got some other scriptures

that I'm going to be reading to you about where he said,

unless you love God more than your father, your mother, your brother, your sister, more than

anybody else, you cannot be my disciple. And on and on. There's some strong statements about

being a disciple. And the church basically has just said, well, that's for the mature Christians, and you don't

have to be a disciple.

You just do this minimum requirement, and that's all it takes.

And so they basically preach about heaven and hell, and they try and scare people out of
