The difference with Keras is the discipleship factor. It's not just a bunch of head knowledge, but Andrew teaches us how to bring God's word down into our lives to apply it. And it's taught me to build

0:22.4

great intimacy with the Lord. And now here's Andrew. Welcome to our Thursday's broadcast of the

0:29.7

gospel truth. Today I'm continuing to teach about the difference between being a believer and being a

0:36.8

disciple. And some people look at, well, all I want to do

0:40.9

is just be a believer. I don't care about becoming a disciple. But Jesus said that we were supposed to go

0:48.0

and make disciples. And I believe that any person who truly believes on Jesus in your heart may be

0:54.0

changed, you could truly be born

0:55.8

again. But if you do not have a desire to become a disciple, which according to John chapter 8,

1:26.4

presented with anything except just, you know, pray and get your

1:30.6

sins forgiven and then get stuck until we go to heaven, and if you never hear the truth, well,

1:36.0

then I believe it's possible for you to be a believer and not have freedom and liberty in your

1:42.6

life because you haven't been exposed to the truth.

1:45.9

But a person who has the chance to be exposed to the truth and doesn't take it and has no desire to be a disciple,

1:53.7

I would question whether you are truly a believer or not.

1:58.2

And I've been using those verses from John chapter 8, verse 31 and 32, where it says,

2:03.2

if you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth,

2:08.7

and the truth shall make you free. And so he was speaking to believers, people who believed on him.

2:14.2

And he says, you have to continue in the word word and then you'll be set free. So being
