Sean, you've been breaking down a lot of recent drafts over at RotoViz.

We've been going through each position, some early thoughts.

I'm going to wrap it up today with the tight end position and tight ends always a fun one it's i think

a sometimes misunderstood position there are a lot of uh interesting elements i mean certainly we want

talent we want skill we talk all the time about drafting the best players, if you can.

But it's also a position where situation can make a pretty big difference.

Just the element of how many routes the tight end is running can be pretty huge because there's a lot of offenses that are using tight ends as blockers a decent amount,

not necessarily putting, you know, sending them out on routes as much as we would like to see for

fantasy because it is this, you know, hybrid position. One way to certainly look at this is looking at

slot rates and the rate of alignment out wide as well

some of these tight ends i mean you look at cow pitts last year comes in the league he basically

plays wide receiver huge advantage there because you know he's going to be running a lot of routes

he's not in line blocking um like play action plays he's just out in a route a ton and so you have you know varying degrees of

of what percentage of dropbacks a tight head might run a route on then you have the element of

you know how good is the offense he's in how good is the quarterback how good are the other receivers
