podcast. Each episode we dive into the minds of some of the worst criminals in history and today we are going to be talking

about the case of John and Lorena Bobbitt.

So today's case is about a woman who became so enraged at her husband who was abusing her

for years. He was also having affairs, left, right and centre, and in order to punish him,

she took a knife, went to their bedroom, and severed a certain part that nobody would want cut off.

And this case blew up in the media. It was front page news, the trial was televised, everyone was talking about it.

And a lot of the media coverage just made it one big joke.

Men all over the country were told to keep their legs crossed. And whilst you may know this case, because this case is kind of seen as a big joke, I bet you don't know the full story behind it because behind all of the manhood jokes is a very

serious case of domestic abuse and of course there is nothing funny about that at all.

And whilst there have been some great documentaries in more recent times that dive into the full story,

whilst I was doing my research, I came across a book that no one seems to talk about which was written by an author alongside John Bobbitt himself and the author manages to get John to give a full and frank confession of his

years long campaign of brutal abuse that led up to the infamous incident.

And I will just say this now, but John Bobbitt is disturbing and disgustingly honest in this book,

and he really does make my skin crawl. But then after this book was

published no one seemed to talk about it and John still carries on denying all of

the abuse. So that is the case that we are going to be talking about today.

The true story of John and Lorraineer Bobbitt and that very infamous incident so let's get into it.
