Our guest today is Doug Dorst, author of the novel Alive in Necropolis, and the short story collection The Surf Guru.

His latest book S was written in collaboration with J.J. Abrams, director of the recent Star Trek

films, as well as the upcoming Star Wars sequels.

S is a very unusual book.

When you open the slipcase, you're presented with a surreal political novel entitled

Ship of Theseus, written by V. M. Straca.

But the real story unfolds in the margins of that text as two modern day college students

scribble notes back and forth in an attempt to unravel the author's true identity.
