I'm getting super thirsty and I'm getting super hungry because well I think we're going to

talk about something involving food in just a few minutes.

That's right Matt, take it away with the feeding of the 5,000.

Oh, Todd! Here we go. It's a time of the Passover buddy and Jesus is at the height of his popularity.

People have been watching Jesus climb in fame as he heals the sick and he gives hope to

the downtrodden and so today a large crowd follows Jesus up to a mountain.

Now as Jesus sits with his disciples and watches the crowd ascend, he sees a genuine need. Just like you Totti, these folks need food. I'm talking

kid cuisine. These people are in need of sustenance. So Jesus has his 12 disciples around him and one of these disciples is from a nearby town, a town called Besseda, and this guy, Philip, would have known the local shops and the possibilities like nobody else.

You know when you go to a new city, if you know someone who's from there, what are you going to do?

You're going to call him, you're going to text him. Hey, where should we go for dinner, right?

Let's go get some fish sticks.

bread so that these people may eat? Well Philip takes a question in he takes a question in, he takes a question in like a brick through a window, right?

He responds to Jesus with just this kind of like an air of impossibility, buddy. to Jesus 200 to nary that's like how much you would earn for a solid day's work he says 200 to nary.

200 to nary worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little.
