The Idaho Department of Corrections came up with a really great idea called the Justice

Reinvestment Initiative in California has done it, other states have done it, where they

said, we need to save money.

How are we going to save money?

Well, we're going to, by releasing people out of prison early, that's exactly what

it is.

That California's called Rule 234 or something like that, where you would let people out

to save money.

That's what it is.

And they lied.

They said that whether we're going to use this money for better training for parole

officers, which they never did, the guy that shot me wasn't supposed to be out of prison

until 2026.

Geez.

Well, we wouldn't be doing this podcast if they just followed through on that.
