Hi, this is Sarah Nukem. I am hosting Mormon News podcast, a project of Mormon stories.

I am joined today with Darren Smith, Julianna Villegas. Sean Carter is going to be joining

us and also John Dillan, we've asked him to be a part of this. We are going to be discussing

the Jonathan Streeter Hoax Apology. He set up a website to look like a professional Mormon

newsroom and did an apology about racism that was meant to look as if the first presidency

of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints had apologized for racism. Again,

it was a hoax and it affected a lot of people. So we're here to discuss that. A little

bit about me, I did an interview on Mormon stories last year and I also run the LamaniteTruth.com

website. We'll also talk to Julianna and Darren if you want to say a few things about

yourself before we get going, that would be great. Introduce yourselves. Julianna.

Alright, so I'm Julianna Villegas. I have done a Mormon stories a few years ago, 2015,

I believe. I am here to share some views about what happened as a black woman. I want

to give a disclaimer that I'm not African-American. I am the woman of color. I do not pretend to

fully understand or actually even understand you have walked into shoes of African-Americans.

So I can only speak for myself with my global view of the world and I think it's important

as you hear what I have to say that you know a little bit of my background.

And you also did a Mormon stories podcast, right? I did. I wrote several op-eds in the Salt Lake

Tribune. If you type my name, you may encounter some of them. Wonderful.

And then Darren, would you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Well, my name is Darren Smith and I'm Satan. I'm the guy who read Streeters apology, thought

it was genius and posted it and for that I'm the most hated man on the internet now.
