Hi everybody, Max Locato here from my home to yours. Thanks so much for joining me for today's

encouraging word. Anxiety is filling the world, but it doesn't have to fill your world.

Peace is always an option. The Apostle Paul said let your gentleness be evident to all

the Lord is near, do not be anxious about anything. You see we can pursue this idea of

anxious for nothing because we believe the Lord is near. Now you may think you're alone,

but there's never a moment in which you face life without God. God is near, the Lord is near.

He repeatedly states his promise to remain near us. To Abram, God said,

don't be afraid. I'm your shield. I'm your exceedingly great reward. To Hagar, the angel said,

do not be afraid. God has heard you. When Isaac was expelled from his land by the Philistines,

when he was forced to move from place to place, God comforted and appeared to him and reminded

him and said, don't be afraid for I am with you. After Moses is death, God told Joshua, don't be

afraid. Do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

God was always with his people. He was with David, in spite of David's adultery, with Jacob,

in spite of his conniving, with Elijah, in spite of Elijah's sometimes lack of faith.

Then in the ultimate declaration of communion, God called himself Emmanuel, which means God
