1:09.0 | And this cultural divide, it finds its roots hundreds of years before the conversation between Jesus and this woman took place. |

1:38.0 | They were marked by seasons of short-term repentance but habitual disobedience. |
1:45.0 | The Northern Kingdom became the target of the Assyrians and the Assyrians were a powerhouse in the known world. |
1:51.0 | The King of Assyria laid siege to the nation of Israel |
1:54.8 | and demanded tribute. Now the relationship between these two countries it becomes |
2:00.2 | fractured when the King of Israel is assassinated and replaced by someone |
2:05.2 | who refuses to be submissive to the Assyrians and this resulted in big trouble. |
