I've come to talk with you again. Are we going through the same, not the same nightmare,

fun just looking right now at the official government dashboard.

In the last week, cases have gone up by 46.2%. The Delta variant, which we originally called

the Indian variant, but now the new system, rightly, is Alphabet. I mean, it's optimistic,

they think there's only going to be 26 of these variants. But nonetheless, the Delta variant

has now become the dominant variant in Britain. Now, this only was at first identified two

months ago in this country. The government failed to put it on the red list because they wanted

to negotiate a trade deal with India and Boris Johnson, of course, was visiting India or planning,

he didn't in the end, in order to negotiate that trade deal. Continuing the general

three of this government, a completely self-destructive on its own terms approach, which is

that a false dichotomy of the public health crisis or the economy, that if you, if we

lockdown, it will damage the economy and we can't be having that, which is why we delayed lockdown,

not once, not twice, but three times, all three times. And in the end, of course, what actually

happens is you were, you went up the worst of all worlds because the threat to the economy is the

public health crisis, the virus. If you crush the virus as other countries have done much more

effectively, then you have less economic consequences. We've got one of the worst economic

consequences, one of the worst death tolls on earth. And the same went with the Delta variant,

that because they thought a trade deal was in the offing and they didn't want to damage the

prospects of that trade deal, they didn't put India on the red list. And as a consequence,
