Got a couple of examples that I've dug up recently of people who've been influenced by the world of weird.

So, for example, I recently discovered that without Nostradamus,

we would not have Prince's funky synth-pop

mega-hit 1999, because that song only came about when Prince was in a hotel room while on tour,
