The Second Vatican Council ended in December 1965,

almost 55 years ago.

Veratitis Splendor, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of that

encyclical by St. John Paul II.

Humana Vitae turns 50 this year and a lot of ink has been

spilled about the hermeneutic of continuity versus discontinuity with respect to

the second Vatican Council. So what do we do about the discontinuities represented by the papacy of Pope Francis and his seeming

change of things that were here to have thought unchangeable?

We're going to talk with New York Times op-ed writer, columnist Ross Dauthut about his new book
