Each episode we dive into the minds of some of the worst criminals in history and today we are going to be talking

about the case of Jogi Abara. I watched a documentary on Netflix

last year called Missing the Lucy Blackman case and the disgusting perpetrator at the center of this case was a man named

Joji Abara and the documentary was really well done however there was one thing I came

away thinking which was that the full extent of the disgusting crimes committed by this

purely evil man were not emphasized. I just felt like the documentary kind of glossed over how evil

Jojibara was because Joji is pure evil. He was a ridiculously wealthy Japanese playboy, as some would call him, possibly the richest

person I've ever covered as well.

Like I'm talking mega multi, millionaire. and with all of that money he got a lot of power and he

thought he could do whatever he wanted and he had some very disgusting sexual fetishes and he was a disgusting sexual predator and his victim count is thought to be as high as 400, also the highest number of victims I've ever covered.

And Jody's crimes eventually came to light when a young British woman named Lucy Blackman, who is the subject of the Netflix documentary,

went missing in Japan. And the story became huge in the UK, and the case of Lucy Blackman is just so tragic but sadly it is so much more than just

Lucy because there are so many more victims so there is a lot going on in today's case so let's dive in. Joji Abara was born on the 10th of August 1952 making him a Leo and he grew up in the city of Osaka Japan Japan. Now, Jojibara was not actually born Jojibara. He was actually

born Kim Sung Jong. He did legally change his name down the line, but I'm just going to call him Jojie, otherwise it's going to get so confusing.

And Jojie was born to parents of Korean descent who had immigrated to Japan after the Second World War.

Now, Jojie's parents had done very well for themselves.

That's an understatement.

By the time Jojie was born they were already mega rich. Over the years, Jojie's dad ran multiple businesses.

He also set up a business selling what unknown as Pachinko machines and I really hope that is how you pronounce it and these

Pachinko machines are basically just vertical pinball machines and I've never heard of them

before but apparently they are particularly huge in Japan.
